More InformationFocus on clinical application and scientific research
The ESCI is the first scientific society in Europe for ceramic implantology. It is an independent and neutral platform, which promotes zirconium dioxide as an implant material with the combined forces of all the groups involved, gives it the status it deserves on the basis of evidence-based facts, provides specific expertise and thus ensures acceptance in general implantology…

This was the ESCI Satellite Symposium 2024
On September 19, 2024, the Kursaal Bern (Bern, CH) was all about ceramic implantology. Whether ceramic implants are just a trend, a reliable alternative in everyday practice and offer sufficient stability for clinical use were some of the questions addressed by Dr. Jens Tartsch, PD Dr. Dr. Stefan Röhling, Prof. Dr. Ralf Kohal, Dr. Frank Maier, Prof. Andrè Chen in their lectures and presentations.
In the second part of the symposium, Dr. Jens Tartsch, Prof. Sebastian Kühl, Dr. Frank Maier and Dr. Lars Börner reported on their clinical treatment approaches and experiences in dealing with ceramic implants.
The satellite symposium of the European Society for Ceramic Implantology (ESCI), which was part of the program of the 6th Swiss Implant Congress, set important accents in the relevant aspects such as soft tissue integration and health, implant material and surface, prosthetic options with conventional and digital workflow and offered the participants a scientifically and experience-based perspective on the application of zirconia implants.
